DOBBS DEEDS RECORDED IN JONES COUNTY

7 Feb. 1784 - VINCENT CHANCE and SARAH, his wife, MASON BROOM and wife, 
RACHEL, all of Dobbs County, N.C. to SIMON SPIGHT of Jones County, N.C. JOHN 
TAYLOR, father of SARAH CHANCE and RACEL BROOM, who died intestate in Craven 
County, N.C. leaving to daughters 100 acres on the North side of Beaver Creek 
which JOHN TAYLOR bought of PATRICK STANALAND and land descended to his 
daughters at his death. They, with their husbands, sell land to SIMON SPIGHT 
for 50 pounds the 100 acres now in Jones Co., N.C. Witnesses: SAMUEL HOLIDAY; 
JOHN ISLER.
