I'm looking for someone who has knowledge of Ezekiel Whaley of the 1790 Census that may be related to the Samuel Whaley, Sr. family of Duplin County. There are four households mentioned on the Duplin Census of 1790: James, William, Samuel, and Francis Whaley. Samuel Whaley,Sr. has 4 sons: Samuel Jr., James, Kinsey, and Daniel. I have information on the first 3 sons.

I am researching the surname CREECH in Dobbs Co NC. Benjamin CREECH and wife Mary Lewis had a number of children including a JOHN CREECH b, ca 1755 that is said to have married an ELIZABETH ROBINSON. Also reported that they had at least 3 sons, JOhn b. ca 1775, Elijah b. ca 1779 and Jonathan b. ca 1784. These three sons can be found in the Harlan Co KY and Lee Co VA areas by 1799.JOhn b. ca 1775 died in Harlan Co KY in 1850; Elijah b. ca 1779 died in Lee Co VA 1854; Jonathan died in Lee Co VA 1852. I am looking for a marriage of JOHN CREECH to ELIZABETH ROBINSON or to anyone ca. 1775 in Dobbs Co. I am seeking information on James OATES d.b.1724 Albemarle Precinct Perquimans County North Carolina his parents were Joseph OATES and Elizabeth WIATT also of Perquimans County. James married Sarah Clayton and lived in Dobbs County. My ancestor was their second son and third child out of six children. He too was named James d.b.25/Dec/1757 m: Mary Ann Wyatt 1782 d.d. 22/Mar/1815 will was probated 4/Feb/1816. His father James died 17666 in Dobbs County. Searching for any information about Sarah MOZINGO dau o f John and Ann ___________Mozingo and her connections with a James CREEL. Sarah was b. 27 January 1748 probably in Dobbs/Greene/Lenoir County, NC she eventually migrated to Marion County, SC. In bible records she named her children: Sabre Mozingo and James Creel. She later married Henry ALLEN. Is anyone working on the CREEL or MOZINGO genealogy who may know more than I do of when Sarah left NC for SC. Gayle

In the Johnston/Dobbs/Lenoir Counties Grantor Index - Book 7 - Old Dobbs County - April 1765 - April 1769, Page 479, Sherwood GRIMSLEY buys land from James JONES.

Sherrod GRIMSLEY is listed as paying taxes for one male in 1769 in Dobbs Co., NC.

I'm researching the "Sherod "GRIMSLEY" family listed in the Marshal Co., AL census and would be interested in exploring a possible connection to Sherwood/Sherrod GRIMSLEY in Dobbs Co., NC.

I am looking for information on the WIGGINS branch of my geneological research. My mothers surname is Wiggins. I have gone back to James Wiggins b 10/5/1773 and Suzanna LASSITER 12/31/1785 from Dobbs/Lenoir County, North Carolina and I now see bits and pieces I can't yet put together. If you have any information, anything would be greatly appreciated. This is just the most interesting thing I have ever done. It's history, but its personal history.
