An industrious colored man, John GARNER, residing near this place, desires information about his son, who was sold in Kenansville, Duplin Co. by Mr. Wm. KORNEGAY, at some time during the winter of 1862, to a trader named MR. MCCARTHER. The said boy, when sold, was a very likely, sprightly lad and only about seven years old, of a mulatto complexion, and answered to the name of Albert KORNEGAY. It is thought that Mr. MCCARTHER carried him to Richmond, Va., but he may still be in N.C. Any information leading to the discovery of his whereabouts will be thankfully received by his anxious father, if addressed to the editor of the Messenger, at Goldsboro.
