Would like to correspond with anyone who has information on, or is researching the SCARBOROUGH family of Dobbs, Glasgow, & Greene Co.'s I'm particularly interested in the David, Joshua, Martha, and Sidney SCARBOROUGH who appear in the 1800 census of Greene county. Also appearing in the same census are Isaac MINSHEW, Sr. and Jr. (spelled MINSHREW in the census record), along with several others of the same surname. Isaac MINSHEW/MINCHEW married Elizabeth SCARBOROUGH, the sister of David and Joshua SCARBOROUGH. I'd like very much to find out more about these families and especially would like to know who the father of these SCARBOROUGH's was and if and how they connect with any of the earlier SCARBOROUGH families (Benjamin, Nathan, and Jesse SCARBOROUGH) of Dobbs county.

Bobby Gilmer Moss in "Roster of the Patriots in the Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge" lists Uriah BLANCHELL as appearing on Caswell's list of participants. Uriah BLANCHARD was living in Dobbs (part which was added to Wayne) in 1776. Has anyone information on BLANCHELL as a surname in Dobbs, or a militia, tax or other list that includes Uriah BLANCHARD. Caswell would have passed through Dobbs enroute to Moore's Creek collecting patriots along the way.

Need information on Absolum PRICE, Nathaniel PRICE, Thomas PRICE and John PRICE, all of Dobbs County in 1790. We believe they came from Beaufort County. John, Nathaniel and Thomas are named in the 1806 will of John PRICE of Beaufort. Absolum is named in the 1793 will of William PRICE, SR., of Beaufort. Connecting lines are: BOOTY, MCKEEL, ANDREWS, BENNETT, MUMSO(?),KEECH, CONDREY. Also, a James PRICE is later associated in SC with the CHITTY family, which also was in Dodd Co. Thanks much.
