I'm an ALEXANDER researcher who would appreciate any contact on these four surnames who were in, or connected with my family. I'm mainly looking for a Frances WELCH ALEXANDER. In addition, I'd like to hear from those with info on her father Samuel WELCH, Edward WOODHAM (Jr. or Sr.), Daniel WIGGINS, and his mother Mary (nee?) WIGGINS. Once residents of Dobbs, and earlier Surry County, Virginia, they moved to the Camden District in South Carolina in the late 1700s.

I am searching for any information on a DE LANE family that lived in Dobbs County in the 1700s. Elizabeth DeLane is the only name I have been able to identify. She married Zachariah COWARD (also from Dobbs County) sometime in 1795(in Screven County, GA). I would like to know names of her parents and siblings, if any. Thanks for any help!

I (and researchers from Alabama to Texas) am searching for my ancestor, William COBB and his parents. William COBB was born in 1730 in Craven County, N.C. He married Sarah STANCIL in 1755 in Dobbs County, had a son named David COBB born in 1760 in Dobbs County, and was serving in the Minute Men as a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War in September 1775 in Dobbs County. He died in 1797 in Wayne County, N.C. (Formerly Dobbs County?) This is mostly all from other researchers, and I need any type of documentation to support it. Also, some think his father was Benjamin Cobb, others Joseph Cobb or Joseph Cobb, Jr. Can you provide any insight/assistance in this? Thanks a million! Lou Sams, Cobb descendant
