Dobbs deeds show a Sands STANLEY as buyer of land between 1746-1750 (among other listings). I assume this man was father to the later mentioned Sands.
The List of Patriots of Moores Creek Bridge list a Sands as a Corporal and a Shadrack STANLEY as a Sergeant. I am assuming these men were brothers.
I am seeking any info possible about a Shadrack STANLEY born 1750-1760 and who was probably the son of the elder Sands (above) and brother to the later mentioned Sands. The man I am tracking was in Gerogia by 1782 with the birth of his first (that we know of) son, Jordan STANLEY. He was married to Penninah JORDAN, dau. of Charles JORDAN. Penninah's known siblings were Dempsey, Samuel, Charles and Sarah JORDAN.
I believe this is the same family later (1783 or so) found in Cheraws Dist. (Darlington County)South Carolina. And they probably represent the same line of Stanleys in Georgia. I can provide a good bit of info... but cannot prove the assumptions. Any help is appreciated.
